If there's one thing I hear from many authors, it's that they haven't finished a novel because they don't have enough time to get a lengthy project finished.
This is one of the biggest lies I have ever heard.
If you really care about writing, you will make time. Cut out the video games. Wake up earlier than usual.
I have found that when I wake up a bit earlier and get straight to writing, my brain is crisper and the writing flows more smoothly.
It really doesn't have to be a lot. Thirty minutes a day, and you could probably have a book done in a year.
Writing is a craft. You don't just get up and write a good story. You need to have experience, and the only way you can get that experience is by practicing.
Work hard at writing, and you will reap the harvest. Give it time.
